Guide for new residents
If you come to live with us you will soon settle in. Everyone is friendly and wants to help you out.
You will have your own room, so you can spend time by yourself if you like. But there is a lot to do if you want to get involved. You can watch TV, use computers, try arts and crafts, cook meals or just enjoy the garden.
You can also go on regular trips. In the past we have gone to the theatre, to the London Eye and Buckingham Palace, on boat trips to Norfolk and to see aircraft at Duxford.
We can also help you become more independent. We can help you travel to do your own shopping, and help you make sense of your money. You may be able to go to work – and we can make this possible for you.
When you come to Little Wakering House, you will have 2 key workers. These people are like special friends who will help and support you. If you have any questions or worries, just talk to them and they will do all they can to help you.
You may be worried about coming to live with us, but we know you will enjoy it here when you arrive. We would love to show you round and introduce you to the people here before you come.
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
