Information for relatives and carers
Parents
Before you make any decision, we would very much like to welcome you to see our excellent facilities and meet our professional and friendly staff. Please ask us any questions you may have, and do talk to some of our current residents about life at Little Wakering House.
We will always put the needs of our residents first.
Before they come and stay with us, we will create and agree a Care Plan that provides comprehensive details for their care. They are then supported by two key workers, who will ensure the Care Plan is properly implemented. In addition, they will be able to access the support of an allocated social worker and advocate as needed.
What makes Little Wakering House stand out is the work we do to help residents become as independent as possible. For example, we support individuals to do their own shopping, visit day centres or clubs, and – in some cases – to travel to and from work.
You are always very welcome to visit and to talk to our staff about any concerns you may have. Little Wakering House has transformed the lives of many people with learning difficulties and mental health needs, and we hope to do the same for the person you care for.
